HOW EEOG HELPS
Over the past 12 years, the EEOG has created public and private partnerships to encourage, empower and engage students to succeed academically as well as in life.
The EEOG’s core focus is to provide practical and real life learning opportunities to help students “stay” in school and graduate. The EEOG’s mission is to prepare under-served to become the best leaders in the world. In the first 10 years, a total of 210 presenters, 150 volunteers, 5,500 students, 350 exhibitors and 180 workshops helped contribute to the success of the Annual Project Save-A-Student Leadership and Training Conference since its inaugural conference in 2002.
The primary objective is to provide students with alternative learning opportunities that are not presented in the traditional school curriculum. Further, the program empowers, engages, and encourages students to rise above the challenges of life by motivating them to strive for success. This is accomplished through live presentation workshops conducted by top business leaders, entrepreneurs and political power-brokers that students can emulate. The conference is a three-day retreat to provide students with confidence, practical knowledge and self-development tools that will help them succeed academically and in life. In addition to workshops, the conference provides a job fair, plenary sessions, and networking opportunities for students and sponsoring organizations.

Educational Speaker Series
The Keys to Success Educational Speaker Series, is a 10 month training period for students. The students spend three and one-half hours, once a month, from January to October, working side-by-side with business leaders, community leaders and educators. The students learn about real life experiences and develop a personal “action plan”.
EEOG’s Annual Awards and Fundraising Gala
Our Annual Awards Gala is an opportunity to honor students for outstanding academic achievement, to recognize donors, and to thank volunteers. Students/program participants have an opportunity to network with peers and community leaders. The Gala is a motivating force for students, and also teaches the importance of dressing appropriately to make a good first impression.
