Career & Leadership

Our Programs

Through specialized programming and highly engaging symposiums, our programs are designed to grant students forward-facing experiences with company executives. These experiences are designed to build the capacity of our scholars and develop college and career readiness.

Annual Project Save-A-Student Leadership and Training Conference

The Project Save-A-Student Leadership and Training Conference is the epicenter of dynamic, full-throttle networking and vision casting. It exposes students to alternatives to dropping out of school, underachieving their goals, and becoming underproductive citizens. During the conference, students discover new career options, experience life on a college campus, and learn to maximize inner leadership potential. These opportunities provide platforms designed to meet the needs of low-income students from often challenging circumstances.

This EEOG leadership experience helps students look at the world differently. Through this experience, suddenly, nothing is out of reach. Whatever the destination, students experience new cultures, develop lifelong friendships, strengthen their foundation for personal and academic success—all while having fun!

Career Speed Networking Program

Career Speed Networking Program (CSNP) is a series of one-on-one meetings designed to grant young scholars access to top industry leaders in the public and private sectors and expose them to figureheads that they can emulate. The CSNP’s purpose is to solidify students’ understanding of the world of work. This forum offers efficient and effective tools to broaden students’ career perspectives, strengthen their communication skills and hone their soft skills.

Educational Speaker Series Program

EEOG’S Educational Speakers Series Program (ESSP) is a recurring mentoring initiative of notable speakers (Executive, Inspirational, Motivational, Influential, etc.) designed to engage, inspire and encourage students to employ best practices and strategies to maximize their inherent potential.  Past speakers have explored topics such as: Life Lessons Essential for Academic and Business Success; Politics; Social justice; Film and other media; Fine arts; and Human diversity.  Speakers also delve into character building, community service, citizenship, civility, social action, and financial literacy.

Leaders Are Readers Program (LARP)

The Leaders Are Readers Program (LARP) delivers a tactical approach to help high school students with reading deficits. Through LARP, we seek to improve literacy and overall academic performance using complex texts that address rigorous Academic Standards. During this 5-week empowerment program, students work towards reading proficiency and becoming “College, Career, and Society ready”.

EEOG Annual Fundraising Gala

The Annual Fundraising Gala is the signature event for the EEOG. This gala celebrates the generosity of Donors, honors the achievements of past scholarship recipients and raises contributions to benefit future graduates of EEOG.

The gala offers a special program where everyone benefits. All proceeds of the Annual Fundraising Gala go to the general fund of The Scholarship Fund of the EEOG. All scholarships from the general fund go to EEOG graduates who demonstrate financial need as well as a commitment and desire to continue their education beyond high school. Corporate sponsors are recognized for their investment in the future of our community. Students will share their personal testimonials of the positive impact their involvement with the EEOG has had on their day-to-day academic and personal lives.  Guests have fun while supporting a worthwhile cause.
