Award-winning public relations and marketing firm PLA Media is excited to welcome George Thomas, founder and president of the Education Equal Opportunity Group (EEOG), to its roster. For more than 16 years, EEOG has provided character, leadership and personal development training to over 18,000 high school students.
George Thomas created EEOG to provide intensive academic instruction to promote college and career readiness for 9th through 12th graders, who have been identified as being at risk of dropping out of school. EEOG invests in its students, creating meaningful experiences, and providing positive pathways for success.
“PLA Media is delighted to be working with George Thomas,” enthuses Pam Lewis, President of PLA Media. “His vision and commitment to community service, mentoring and shaping young lives throughout the state, is truly admirable. George has already inspired nearly 20,000 young Tennesseans, and counting.”
Thomas strongly believes in community service and “paying it forward”. The students involved with EEOG programs are consistently reminded of that concept, encouraging them to help serve their local communities. Thomas has dedicated his professional life to helping the underserved, first generation and low-income students of Tennessee creating an environment for them to excel academically, professionally and socially.
“For the last 16 years I have been growing EEOG, and I am proud of our success, but we are still a best kept secret,” explains George Thomas. “I hope with the help of PLA Media we can become a household name in Tennessee.”
George Thomas joins PLA Media’s impressive clients including the award-winning museums, Johnny Cash, The Patsy Cline and Tina Turner. Along with RIAA Diamond certified songwriter Jesse Rice (“Cruise” by Florida Georgia Line) and the iconic Americana Music Triangle.
