Founders History News Happy Hour Project: Save-A-Student Contact the EEOG Upcoming Events
“Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up” (Thomas Edison)

Every 29 seconds a student drops out of school resulting in 1 million dropouts yearly.

Fact only 12 out of 100 Tennessee students graduate from college.

This startling statistic illustrates the need for the Annual Project Save-A-Student Leadership and Training Program and the post conference Educational Speaker Series and Academic Case Management Services.

Since February 2002, the EEOG has continually progressed in the area of student development and implementation of innovative educational initiatives. These initiatives have not only reduced the educational disparities plaguing at-risk student populations but they have also resulted in focusing on rebuilding the fabric of our community. Our programs provide students with confidence, knowledge, and a positive attitude necessary for their success. To achieve our objectives and goals, we provide the following services to each participant:

  1. EEOG Annual Project Save-A-Student Leadership Training Conference
  2. Academic Case Management Services
  3. Keys To Success Monthly Educational Speakers Series

The EEOG stands apart from other organizations by providing “at-risk” student populations with information and support necessary to ensure successful matriculation through school as well as success beyond graduation. The EEOG achieves these outcomes by addressing common challenges which derail student success, including: 1. Financial and Money Management; 2. Mental and Physical Health and Wellness; 3. Academic Support; 4. Legal Matters; and Resiliency (i.e., comportment, interpersonal communication, etc.) and 5. Peer Pressure.
